Firearms safety and rights seminar set

CLARION – State Representative Donna Oberlander (R-63) invites northern Clarion County residents along with the Forest County portion of the 63rd Legislative District to attend a firearms safety and rights seminar from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, at the Leeper fire hall, located at 6785 State Route 36 in Leeper.

Special guest speakers will include Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron; Clarion County Sheriff Rex Munsee and Forest County Sheriff Robert Wolfgang.

The presentation will focus on a wide variety of firearms safety and Second Amendment subjects including:

  • How to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon 
  • Circumstances under which a permit can be revoked
  • What to do when coming in contact with a member of law enforcement while carrying a concealed weapon
  • Details surrounding Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine and other valuable information regarding state gun laws

Concealed carry license applications through the Clarion County Sheriff’s office will be available at this event.
