Fire ravages Clarion County home

Firefighters work at the scene of a blaze at 347 Pershing Lane in Fisher that broke out at about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported, and a state police fire marshal said the fire started in a crawl space under the single-story home and was electrical in nature. Wendy Taylor-Chapman said she was sitting in her living room when she saw flashes of light from another room. She said she saw flames and ran outside to get a hose but found it melted. Firefighters drew water from a creek behind the home to help put out the blaze. Police said damages were estimated at $100,000 and the structure and contents were a total loss. Volunteer fire departments from Fisher, Strattanville, Farmington Township, Sigel and Clarion were at the scene. Taylor-Chapman is being assisted by the Red Cross. (Photo by Brett R.
