FAFSA workshops scheduled

Educational Talent Search will sponsor two separate free FAFSA or Free Application for Federal Student Aid completion workshops for seniors and their parents on Saturday, Oct. 22.

The workshops will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 201-BI Lab of Carlson Library at Clarion University and from 9 to 11 a.m. in the library of Cranberry High School.

Representatives from Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency will be on hand to assist with submissions.

Participants should take their tax and financial information for assistance in completing and filing their FAFSA. Organizers said attendees may want to create an FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov before the workshop.

Those planning to attend post-secondary education should file a FAFSA at www.FAFSA.ed.gov to determine eligibility for federal and state aid and/or student loans.

Information from this form may be used to determine institutional aid.

The program is presented free of charge. Pre-registration is required for the FAFSA workshops.

Those interested in pre-registering or obtaining more information may call (888) 533-6487 or (814) 393-2071.
