Entries accepted for ALF theme contest

CLARION – The Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry is accepting submissions for the 2017 Autumn Leaf Festival theme contest ALF is sponsored by the United States Army.

Theme submissions are judged by their usability. Submissions must be appropriate for media, have catchy wording, and be appealing and marketable on merchandise and printed advertisements

They would like to have the 2017 theme incorporate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Clarion University.

The theme winner receives a $50 gift certificate, two tickets to the Miss Junior and Miss Teen ALF scholarship program, two Autumn Leaf tumblers and a 2017 ALF T-shirt. The winner also receives invitations to the VIP Brunch, Sponsor Reception and to ride in the Clarion Hospital “Tournament of Leaves” parade.

In addition, the winner is invited to the annual awards dinner.

The Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry board of directors will judge the theme. The creator of the winning theme will be notified as soon as a decision is reached by the panel of judges. All decisions made by the judges are final.

Anyone living, working or attending school in Clarion County can submit theme ideas. All submissions must be made no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5. This deadline is firm and will not change.

All entries become the sole property of the Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry. When entering a theme, the name, address and phone number of the creator should be included with the entry.

Participants may mail or hand-deliver their submission to the Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry office to Autumn Leaf Festival; Attention: 2017 Theme; 650 Main Street, Clarion, 16214.
