East Forest holds relay

The Mini Relay for Life Club at East Forest High School recently held a relay event for the elementary students on the soccer field. The children were separated into four groups that walked around the loop like you would do at an actual relay. As they walked the older students taught them topics such as sun safety and exercise benefits which will help keep them healthy as they grow into adulthood. A hydration table was available including a bead station. As each lap was made a bead was issued. Students were able to get lap sponsors for a monetary donation. All proceeds from the day were given to the American Cancer Society’s Forest County Relay for Life. (Submitted photo)
