Jenks Street in Brookville was closed for several hours Sunday morning after a Brookville man was injured when his vehicle struck a telephone pole.
Brookville police said the vehicle driven by Dominic Palmer, 19, collided with the pole at about 6:40 a.m. Sunday. The crash also took down the attached power lines, police said.
Palmer admitted to falling asleep at the wheel, police said. He suffered minor injuries and was taken by Jefferson County EMS to Brookville Hospital, police said.
The street was closed until about 3 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Brookville volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.
