Dog licenses go on sale Dec. 1 in Clarion County

Clarion County residents may begin purchasing dog licenses for 2023 on Dec. 1.

Dog licenses should be purchased by Jan. 1 for all dogs 3 months of age and up. The licenses can be purchased at the county treasurer’s office, through the mail or online.

Applications can be printed from the Treasurer’s page on the Clarion County website, www.co.clarion.pa.us.

Renewal cards or completed applications can be sent along with payment to County Treasurer Karyn Montana, 330 Main St., Room 110, Clarion, 16214.

Checks should be made payable to the Clarion County Treasurer.

Online purchases can be made at www.doglicenses.us by choosing PA then Clarion County and paying with a credit or debit card. There will be an extra $2 fee for this service.

Licenses can also be purchased, starting Dec. 1, at several area businesses including RMS Furniture in New Bethlehem, Sligo Rec Center, Lander General Store in Lucinda, Knox Country Farm Supply, Steiner’s Outdoors in East Brady, Rocky Acres Kennels in Clarion, Tri-County Animal Rescue in Shippenville, Stantz K9 Suites in Parker, Doggie Bole in Rimersburg and the Strattanville Borough office.

Prices for the licenses are $8.50 for male or female and $6.50 for a spayed or neutered dog. There is a $2 discount for senior citizens and disabled applicants.

Lifetime licenses are available at the treasurer’s office only.
