Clarion County Career Center students were challenged to raise $3000 during the annual “Coins for a Cure” campaign for October’s Cancer Awareness month. Some of the activities used to raise funds were: the sale of T-shirts; bagged lunch sales; dress-down Fridays, where the students paid a dollar so they did not have to wear their uniforms; and various other activities in the program classrooms. The total collected was an $5,085.40, bringing the Career Center’s six-year donation total to the Clarion Hospital Cancer Center to over $18,000. All funds were donated to the Clarion Sunshine Project to help those experiencing financial difficulty while being treated for cancer. (Submitted photos)
