A Las Vegas couple are facing charges after police found 153 pounds of suspected marijuana in their vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Robin Pollock, 60, and William Pollock, 63, were arraigned Tuesday afternoon before district judge Timothy Schill on charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, conspiracy – manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance and use-possession of drug paraphernalia.

A criminal complaint filed by Clarion state police corporal Reed Genci says a Ford Expedition was stopped for a traffic violation at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday near mile maker 60. William Pollock was identified as the driver, and the passenger was Robin Pollock, the complaint said.

Genci said that during the traffic stop he became suspicious of criminal activity and asked to search the vehicle, which was denied, the complaint said.

A state police drug detection dog was used to search the outside of the vehicle, and the dog detected one or more odors indicating a probable cause to search the vehicle, according to the complaint.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of four large black hockey bags that contained about 153 pounds of marijuana, police said.

The pair remain in the Clarion County jail after failing to post $50,000 cash bail each, and preliminary hearings are scheduled Tuesday.
