Clarion man dies in Lycoming County crash

From staff reports

A Clarion man died after a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

Montoursville state police said Tyler J. Parks, 29, was driving south on Route 14 in Lycoming County in his 2011 Honda Civic at around 1:55 p.m. when the vehicle crossed the center line and entered into the path of a 2015 Ram truck towing a camper, driven by William R. Hakes, 67, of Williamsport.

Upon making impact with the truck, Parks’ vehicle struck the camper, causing severe damage to both the car and camper, police said. After the impact, the vehicle spun counterclockwise until it came to rest in the roadway.

Parks was pronounced deceased from injuries received in the crash by Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr.

Neither Hakes or his passenger were injured.
