CLARION — The Clarion Free Library has scheduled a variety of programs for December.
A Children’s Christmas Tea will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. today in the meeting room of the library. Tea and hot chocolate will be served. Children will decorate sugar cookies and hear stories

An after-school program will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in the children’s room of the library.
Children will hear stories, make crafts, play games and learn about the library. A teen activity night will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. Attendees will learn how to make a waterless snow globe. Registration is required for this program and is available by calling (814) 226-7172.
Another teen activity titled “Tasty Thursday” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22. Teens will watch the movie “Elf” and decorate cookies.
The library’s regular programs include an adult knitting class, children’s storytime, the Fun Time Play Group, Littler Learners and the Puppy Dog Tales program.
An adult knitting class meets at 1 p.m. Mondays. This class taught by Chris Adams is open to beginner and experienced knitters. Adams can be reached by calling (814) 797-1613.
Children’s storytime is held at 10 a.m. Tuesdays. Storytimes features stories, crafts and other activities. No registration is required and storytimes are free of charge. Themes for this month include Dec. 13 — Merry Christmas and Dec. 20— Storytime Christmas Party.
The Fun Time Play Group for children up to 5 years old is held at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at the library. The group is presented weekly by the library and Clarion County’s Promise.
Puppy Dog Tales program where children read to therapy dogs will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22. The program is held the fourth Thursday of the month.
Little Learners is offered by early intervention provider agency Amazing Kids and is held at 10 a.m. Fridays at the library. There is no fee or registration. The activity is open to children of any age. More information is available online at www.amazingkidspa.com or by calling (814) 715-5738.
The library will be closed Friday through Monday, Dec. 23-26, for the Christmas holiday and Saturday through Monday, Dec. 31-Jan. 2, for the New Year.
