The Clarion County Democratic Party is seeking individuals to run for precinct committee in all precincts.
The positions will be listed on the ballots in the primary election. Eligible candidates must be registered Clarion County Democrats residing in the precinct where they are running.
Prospective candidates should get a nominating petition and obtain at least 10 signatures from voters in their respective precinct. Petitions are available at the Clarion County Bureau of Elections in the Clarion County administrative building. Petition signing can begin immediately and must be signed and returned to the Clarion County Bureau of Elections no later than March 15.
Anyone elected in the May 17 primary election will be part of the Clarion County Democratic Committee, which registers new Democratic voters; and educates the electorate concerning elections, candidates and the party. The committee meets twice a year concurrent with the executive board.
