The Allegheny Valley Sportsmans Association (AVSA) awarded a donation to the Kellettville Sportsmans Club’s Annual Fishing Derby for kids.
Funds were raised through raffles at AVSA, and the small games of chance revenue was used to fund improvements at AVSA and, in accordance with state law, benefit other groups for public programs and projects.
AVSA also awarded a donation to the Forest County Sheriff’s Office “Shop With a Cop” program.
Families of these children also receive a gift certificate to a local grocery store for their holiday meal. The program is a nonprofit charitable endeavor, and last year the Sheriff’s Office helped 46 children from 38 families.
