111 Clarion veterans have died since last Memorial Day

A total of 111 Clarion County veterans have died since Memorial Day 2016, according to Judy Zerbe, the county’s director of Veterans Affairs.

Twenty-five of those veterans served during World War II, 39 served during the Korean Conflict, 24 served during the Vietnam Conflict, 20 served during peacetime, one served during the Persian Gulf War and three served in the Army Reserves.

Some veterans served during more than one war period.
