Work underway on Regency Commons project in Clarion

From staff reports

The face of Clarion’s 5th Avenue began to change this week.

Terra Works of Clarion is currently excavating the property that will soon be Regency Commons.

Regency Commons will be a 42-unit affordable senior housing property that will serve people age 62 and over who are below the area’s median income.

The gross building area is roughly 50,580 square feet. Green initiatives will be incorporated into the project through Enterprise Green Communities criteria and Passive House standards.

The $13 million project is a low-income tax credit program through the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. The Clarion County Housing Authority will manage Regency Commons.

Supportive services offered by the Housing Authority will include health screens and educational opportunities. Six handicapped-accessible units will be available.
