Work to begin in mid-April on Forest Co. bridge

Construction on the Elm Street bridge in Tionesta Township, Forest County, is scheduled to begin Monday, April 16, as part of the PennDOT’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

The bridge carries Route 62 over Tubbs Run.

Work on the bridge is expected to be completed in early September. During this time, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Forest County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.

This bridge is referred to is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
