Wilson earns Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors

Isaac Wilson, of Tylersburg and a graduate of North Clarion High School, is one of two Baldwin Wallace University men’s cross country student-athletes to be named to the 2017 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

Wilson, who also garners his first Academic All-OAC honor, is an exercise science major who carries a 3.66 grade point average. He had a standout sophomore campaign, earning his first career All-Ohio honors after a top-35 finish at the All-Ohio Division III Championships, winning his first individual title at the Shenandoah, Va. Hornet Harrier meet and being named the OAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first time in his career.

Wilson ran a season-best and career-best 8k time of 26:01.1 at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational.
