Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place in Clarion

From staff reports

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is scheduled Oct. 5 at the Clarion County Courthouse.

Nearly 200 people from the Clarion area are expected at this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

Participants will honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with Promise Flowers during the Promise Garden Ceremony – a display of hope to represent the personal reasons participants join to fight Alzheimer’s.

Participants can join a team or register to walk as an individual at alz.org/walk.

All participants also are invited to Walk in the Autumn Leaf Festival parade.
