Tionesta Health Center to open

Tionesta Health Center will open Wednesday, April 10, at 111 Bridge St., Tionesta. It is a joint venture through the Tionesta Health Committee and Titusville Area Hospital.

The health center will operate as a family medicine clinic providing care for people of all ages.

Lara Johnson, physician assistant, will be the primary health care provider. She is a native of Titusville.

Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Slippery Rock University, a master of science degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania and a master of health science degree as a physician assistant from Lock Haven University. She also is board certified as a physician assistant.

Dr. Mary Joan Gidor will be in the Tionesta office on a limited basis, providing pediatric care. She received her medical degree from CEBU Institute of Medicine. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship at Hope Children’s Hospital. She has been providing care at Oak Street Pediatrics in Titusville since 2013.
