Three people injured in Clarion County crash

Three people were injured Tuesday in a multi-vehicle accident along Route 322 in Elk Township, Clarion County.

Clarion state police said Daniel Goodman, 73, of Knox was traveling east on Route 322 about 2:17 p.m. when he failed to stop at a red light providing traffic control for a construction zone.

Goodman’s vehicle entered the one lane construction zone and collided with a vehicle driven by Laura Silvis, 60, also of Knox.

Upon impact, Goodman’s vehicle traveled approximately 24 feet while spinning counter clockwise and struck a parked construction vehicle which had 41-year-old John Cessna of Shelocta inside.

Goodman and Silvis suffered suspected serious injuries and Cessna suffered suspected minor injuries.

A seven-month old child was a passenger in Goodman’s vehicle, but was not injured.

Fire departments from Shippenville and Knox assisted at the scene.
