The wood chips fly

Chainsaw carvers can expect to get a little sawdust in their hair, on their clothes, in the air and most everywhere, as Joe Dussia, who works out of the Appalachian Arts Studio in Ridgway, well knows. Joe was one of more than a dozen artists exhibiting and selling their sculptures at the Cook Forest Sawmill Center for the Arts last weekend. It was the fourth annual rendezvous hosted by the Sawmill. Chainsaw carvers show off their techniques and sell their works at auction. (By Tom DiStefano)
