State makes changes to hunting license applications

From staff reports

This year, the state has changed a few things concerning hunting license sales. The first day that Pennsylvania residents are able to purchase hunting licenses is June 20. In addition, the dates for doe license applications have changed. The first day that Treasurer’s offices around the state are able to accept doe license applications is Monday, July 11.

In years past, PA hunters have had two weeks of exclusive license sales before the non-resident application process began. This year PA residents only have one week before non-resident applications are able to be accepted on July 18. Additionally, unsold/bonus applications will be available Monday, Aug. 1 and the second round on Monday, Aug. 15.

Prices for all hunting licenses sold after June 1 have increased by 20 cents due to a contract negotiation change with PALS, one of the state’s vendors making them. Licenses cost $6.90 for residents and $26.90 for non-residents.

Make  checks out to the Clarion County Treasurer’s Office and mail it along with a completed application to the County Treasurer’s office at 330 Main St, Room 110 Clarion, Pa 16214.
