COOKSBURG — Snowman in the Forest Day will be held Saturday, Feb.18, along the Clarion River within Cook Forest State Park.
Various activities will be held at the ice skating pond, along River Road approximately one-mile up-river from the park office.
A chili cook-off will start at 11:30 a.m. A snowshoe interpretive hike will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. within the old growth forest along Cook Trail. Interested persons should meet at the fire pit by the ice skating pond.
Carriage rides, sledding, snowman building, ice skating with ice skates available will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Happy Dog Contest will be held at 1 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m.
Hot chocolate, coffee and a warming hut will be available.
