MARIENVILLE – The Forest Area sixth grade class is hosting a donkey basketball game on Monday, April 4.
The game will be held in the East Forest school gym in Marienville and will begin at 7 p.m. The night will feature a four-team tournament with faculty, staff, students and community members mounting up to compete against each other. There will also be a concession stand and a 50-50 raffle.
The game is a fundraiser to help pay for the class’s annual educational trip to Gettysburg that both East and West Forest sixth graders take at the end of the year. Advance tickets can be purchased at the school for $6 or at the door for $8. Children 5 years old and under are admitted for free. There will be free donkey rides at half-time for children under 12 years old.
