Emlenton
The Emlenton Echoes 4-H Club in partnership with the Emlenton Civic Club will host the annual Emlenton area Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15.
The event is for children ages 2 to 12 years old and will take place at Hughes Park in Emlenton. Registration will start at 10:45 a.m. and the egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m.
There will be various prizes given away. The grand prize will be a girl and a boy bikes.
Franklin
The Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Franklin Kiwanis Club and the City of Franklin will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, in Fountain Park.
The egg hunt is for children 8 years old and under. Eggs are filled with toys, candy, gift certificates and money along with four special prize eggs for each of the four age divisions.
The hunt has a rain date of Saturday, April 15.
Other activities on Saturday, April 8, include Easter story times from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Neverending Stories, 1252 Liberty St. and bunny petting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Olde Liberty/The Galleria, 1253 Liberty St.
The Retail Roaming Rabbit will be passing out eggs for adults with special gifts from local businesses.
Franklin
The annual Congress Hill Church of God community egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the church at the corner of Pone Lane and Congress Hill Road, Franklin. The hunt is open to children from toddlers through sixth grade.
Oil City
First Church of God in Oil City will sponsor an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8, at Justus Park, Oil City.
The event is open to all children ages 2 to 12 years old. The hunt will feature 10,000 candy-filled eggs. A girl’s and a boy’s bicycle will be awarded to the winners of each age group: 2 to 4, 5 to 8 and 9 to 12.
Registration will be held from 12:40 to 1 p.m. with a shotgun start promptly at 1 p.m.
Salem Township
The annual Egg hunt for the Salem Township community will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Salem Community Complex. Participants should gather at 9:45 a.m. The hunt is open to children from toddlers through the completion of sixth grade. The event is sponsored by the DeHart, Rossman, Wenner American Legion Post 997 and it auxiliary. Three prizes will be awarded on each side of the road for the special egg found.
Parents and grandparents may view the activity from the sidelines.
Egg hunters will be assisted by members of the Venango’s Edge 4-H club to make sure every little hunter finds eggs.
Those wanting to donate cooked and decorated eggs or filled plastic eggs for the hunt are may take them to the building by 9 a.m. that morning so there is time to hide them.
Titusville
The community Easter egg hunt and Peepshow will be held Saturday in Titusville. The egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. Children ages 2 to 4 years old will hunt in the Titusville YWCA playground; children 5 to 7 years old will hunt in the main yard of the YWCA; and children ages 8 to 10 will hunt at the St. James House. An Easter bonnet parade and judging will also be held. An Easter egg roll will be held, weather permitting, after the parade on the YWCA lawn. The Peepshow starts at 10:30 a.m.
