RVHS all school reunion extends eligibility, adds activities

From staff reports

The Redbank Valley High School Reunion Steering Committee is listening to people about planning the RVHS reunion. Due to numerous requests from Redbank Valley graduates who want to attend the event, the Steering Committee is announcing they are opening up the classes eligible to attend to the year 2012.

For individuals who are in this extended group who might need the registration or event information, please join the group’s Facebook page at RVHSreunion. The July 8 event is shaping up to be “The Event of the Year: The Reunion of a Lifetime.”

Along with extending the class eligibility range, the committee voted to add two more live musical groups and to change the hours of the event to be from 1 to 9:30 p.m. followed by an impressive fireworks display.

Other activities slated for the event include: a guided tour of the RVHS building, cornhole competition, vintage vehicle show, Historical Society display, live music performances by local talent, group and individual photos, prizes, limited-edition souvenirs, fantastic food, lots of fun and so much more. Don’t forget the fireworks afterwards.

Watch for more specific information as details become available. Stop by the Clarion Mall at the RVHS reunion information table on Saturday, April 1, no fooling, to drop off your check, money order or cash to register in-person or to get any of your questions answered.

The next Steering Committee meeting has been changed to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the New Bethlehem library.
