Route 68 restriction in place next week

From staff reports

Route 68 in Clarion County will be restricted to a single lane from 8 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.

This restriction will use short-term flagging setups for the purpose of clearing trees in order to accommodate utility relocations.

Drivers should anticipate stoppages of up to 15 minutes, and slow travel can be expected through the work site during these times, according to a press release from PennDOT.

Drivers should utilize extra caution while traveling through the work zone due to decreased visibility during night operations.

The $11.6 million project by Plum Contracting Inc. of Greensburg is part of the initial phase of the Dolby Street Intersection Project for safety and intersection improvements, and includes additional turning and traffic lanes, signal replacements, drainage upgrades and other construction activities.
