Photo scavenger hunt helps ‘I Love Clarion’ fireworks

From staff reports

The Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry and C93 Radio invites the public to participate in the first photo scavenger hunt to raise funds for “I Love Clarion” fireworks on Friday, July 3 while also enjoying a great lunch from Red River Roadhouse.

What is a photo scavenger hunt and how does it work? On Saturday, June 20, each team captain will come into the chamber office (via the front door) beginning at 11 a.m. They will check in, pick up their team lunches and receive a “Stars” or “Stripes” entry form along with an “I Love Clarion” flyer.

The entry form will list 10 places that you must go to. When you arrive at each location, you will take a photo of the landmark/view with your “I Love Clarion” flyer and a member of your team.

The photo scavenger hunt will run from noon to 5 p.m., allowing for time to check out the area if this is the first time for you to visit.

After you have made all 10 stops on your list, then you will need to download the photos and send them to the chamber for verification via Facebook and/or email.

Those teams who have been verified as completed will have their names put into a drawing.

On at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 3, the chamber will draw the winning team during a band break as well as provide a live Facebook feed.

Arrangements will be made for the team to come to the chamber office the following week to pick up their prize package.

What information is needed to register your team? How many people will be participating with you; team captain name along with contact information and pay a registration fee – $12 per person ($6 will go toward the fireworks and the remaining $6 pays for your lunch).

Checks are to be made payable to “I Love Clarion Fireworks.”
