Photo entries for the annual Forest County Photography Contest will be accepted from Wednesday, Jan. 2, to Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Marienville Area Library. The cost of entry is $5.
Applications and rules are available at the library.
The categories of the contest are nature and Forest County landmarks, events and people.
Each of the categories are divided into age and type of photo.
Entries will be judged on creativity, photo quality and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and character of Forest County.
Ribbons for first, second and third place will be awarded for each category by bracket. All first-place winners will compete for the $100 best-of-show prize. Professionals are not eligible for best-of-show.
Judging will take place Friday, Jan. 25.
