Max, a year-old neutered male, is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He has a brindle and white coat and brown eyes. Max is a high energy, playful pup. He needs a loving, competent handler who can help him with obedience training. Max has a lot to learn but is willing to please. Because of a previous experience with a child picking on him, Max should not be in a home with children. He seems to be good with other dogs but would require a meet and greet if there is already a dog in the home. With proper time and training, this youngster could be turned around once he learns to trust again. Max is a diamond in the rough at the Venango County Humane Society, open 12-5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
