Parker man electrocuted on roofing job

A Parker man was electrocuted Thursday while he was working on a roofing job at an Emlenton residence.

Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer identified the man as Charles Rupp, 33.

Shaffer said the incident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. at the home on Walnut Street in Emlenton Borough. Shaffer said Rupp was coming down a ladder when the ladder came into contact with power lines.

Rupp and another man were taken to Clarion Hospital by Emlenton Area Ambulance, Emlenton fire captain Trevor Hile said.

Rupp was pronounced dead at 1:50 p.m. by Shaffer. The identity of the other man and information about his condition wasn’t available Thursday evening.
