‘Opportunity in the Arts’ scheduled Monday

Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts and the United Way of Clarion County will host “Opportunity in the Arts” at 6 p.m. Monday at the Butler Little Theater.

The event will bring together community partners to discuss the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ investments throughout Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana and Jefferson counties.

Guests will have the opportunity to learn about available art funding for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations in the area. They will also be able to talk to current and past grant recipients and discuss guidelines and application processes.

Lindsay Herring, folklorist of PA Rural Arts Alliance, will represent folk and traditional arts; Jeff Wacker, coordinator of Arts-in-Education, will present Arts in Education; and Melissa Fulton, executive director of the United Way of Clarion County, will represent PA Partner in the Arts.

The event is free and open to the public.
