From staff reports
Clarion Hospital announced Friday evening new restrictions for visitation because of the coronavirus.
“For the safety of patients, health care providers and the community at large, no visitors are permitted at Clarion Hospital,” said Julie Kunselman, director of marketing for the hospital.
Individuals accompanying a patient to the emergency room won’t be permitted in the waiting area and will be required to wait in the hospital parking lot or an off-site location.
Exceptions to the visitor ban are:
– One person may accompany any patient having an outpatient surgical procedure.
– Mothers having a baby may be accompanied by one person.
– Visitors may be permitted for end of life care.
Visitors meeting the above exceptions will be stopped at the hospital entrance, be screened for symptoms, be given an identification badge and be directed to the permitted area of the hospital.
