Mayfest returns to Fryburg

Fryburg is gearing up for its annual Mayfest celebration Friday and Saturday, May 27-28, along Route 208 in Fryburg and Marble.

The event will kick off May 27 with a 5K run/walk at 7 p.m. beginning at the St. Michael Church parking lot.

A full slate of activities is planned for May 28, including a craft show opening at 9 a.m. at the ball field and a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Michael social hall.

A tractor, car, and motorcycle show will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. Michael parking lot, and a tour of St. Michael Church will be given at 11 a.m.

There will be free family entertainment from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the ball field, including an inflatable bungee jump, obstacle course, giant slide, food vendors, balloon art, Wild World of Animals Shows, Dino Roar Show, kids games, and more.

Kids will also enjoy the touch-a-truck event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the FUN Bank parking lot.

The “Heroes Among Us” parade will travel along Route 208 from Fryburg to Marble, beginning at 3 p.m.

A family tailgate party will be held in the St. Michael parking lot after the parade and will feature music, a balloon artist, superheroes, food vendors, Dino Roar Show, carriage rides, and more.

The evening will wrap up with fireworks at dusk.
