Marienville Oktoberfest will be held from Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25, in the Town Square. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Events on Friday, Sept. 23, include the announcing of the decorating contest at 6 p.m., a chainsaw carver from 6 to 8 p.m., the craft and food vendors are open from 6 to 9 p.m. and the band TRIXX will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Craft and food vendors will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. The chainsaw carver will begin at 10 a.m. A children’s sawdust pile sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service opens at 11 a.m. A ventriloquist performs from noon to 1 p.m. The children’s bike races begin at 1 p.m. and the tractor races start at 2 p.m. The band Train Wreck performs from 2 to 4 p.m. A parade will be held at 4 p.m. Pony Farm band performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Events on Sunday, Sept. 25, begin with a church service at 10:30 a.m. in the town square. The craft and food vendors are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The chainsaw carver begins at noon.
