MARIENVILLE — The Election Day Open House at Marienville Area Library will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. The fundraiser features many donated items up for bid. Tickets for the fundraiser are 26 for $5. The event is hosted by The Friends of the Library. This year in addition to helping the library with ongoing expenses, some of the money raised will be given to the building fund to help replace the present building. More space is needed for books, computers and for the special events held at the library. Repairs needed to the present building and expansion will cost more than replacement. Food will be available for purchase. Those interested in donating items to the fundraiser may take them to the library by Tuesday, Nov. 1, during regular library hours.
