LWV hosts ‘Communicating with your elected officials’

From staff reports

Not getting answers from your elected officials? Feeling ignored by the politicians in your area? The League of Women Voters of Clarion County is holding a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Main Street Center, 520 Main Street in Clarion.

The reason for this event is to try to help residents be effective in sharing their views with elected officials at this event “Communicating with Your Elected Officials.”

Two Clarion University professors, Thomas Rourke, political science, and James Lyle, communications, will lead the panel.

The goal of this event is to help residents get answers when contacting officials, from the language we use to which ways of communication are the most effective in getting your questions answered.

We encourage residents to come and ask questions about contacting elected officials.

This program is open to the public, so please come prepared with questions and bring a friend.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting democracy in America and raising awareness of the need for greater citizen participation in the democratic process.
