Limited family visitations begin at VA in Butler

From staff reports

The Butler VA Health Care System on Tuesday reopened family visitations on a limited basis for residents of the Sgt. Joseph George Kusick Community Living Center.

Visitations are offered to appropriate residents on a daily basis, with only four visits scheduled per day, the VA said in a news release.

All visitors will be screened for COVID-19 and will be required to wear protective personal equipment (PPE). Only one visitor per visit. No one under the age of 18 is permitted within the facility.

“We are thankful to be able to allow family members to visit with their loved ones,” said Kevin P. Amick, the health care system’s director.

“We continue to monitor the COVID-19 environment and are hopeful to be able to expand visitation opportunities for our veterans and their families in the near future.”
