Light snow leads to school delays across the state

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Light snow is causing delayed school openings across Pennsylvania.

Winter weather advisories posted throughout the state are expected to expire late Thursday morning.

Police asked motorists to slow down as the snow created slick conditions on highways, which were chilled by temperatures below freezing. Plows were working to clear snow-covered roads.

Accumulations ranged from around an inch in the Philadelphia area to several inches near Pittsburgh.
