Leeper native promoted to colonel

Lt. Col. Jeffrey S. Heasley was promoted to colonel earlier this month during a ceremony in which his sons, Nathan and Benjamin, participated. He assumed the duties as Chief of Staff, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, on Nov. 27.

Heasley is a 1987 graduate of North Clarion High School, a 1991 graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a 2016 graduate of the U.S. Army War College.

Heasley is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a lifetime member of multiple veteran’s organizations to include the American Veterans Post No 113 in Tionesta.

He is the son of Robert and Esther Heasley of Leeper and resides in Fallston, Maryland, with his wife, Kelly, and his sons.
