A Knox man is facing felony charges after allegedly selling heroin to a confidential police informant in July.

A criminal complaint filed through District Judge Patrick Lowrey’s office said that around 4:30 p.m. on July 28, Punxsutawney state police met with a confidential informant about assisting with the purchase of heroin from a man.

The man advised through a text message that he could sell the informant six bags of heroin for $100, and he arranged someone to meet the informant at the Emlenton Truck Stop, the complaint said.

The informant was met at the truck stop by 29-year-old Anthony Knight, who sold him a cigarette wrapper containing suspected bags of heroin, the complaint said.

A subsequent NIK test conducted on the suspected drugs resulted in a positive reading for heroin, the complaint said.

On Tuesday, police spoke with Knight at the Clarion County jail, and Knight related that he had delivered the heroin for the other man, the complaint said. Charges have also been filed against that man, but he hasn’t been formally arraigned.

Knight is facing felony counts of criminal conspiracy engaging – manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and manufacture and delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.

Knight is also facing a felony drug charge in Clarion County following a long-term investigation by the Clarion Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Pennsylvania State Police Vice Unit that resulted in arrest warrants being issued for 16 people Wednesday. He was arraigned Wednesday in that case.

Knight remains in the Clarion County jail on $25,000 bail.
