Knox authority needs directors

From staff reports

The Knox Township Municipal Authority board of directors needs two volunteers to serve on their panel.

The authority is tasked with developing and operating a sewage collection treatment system in the Lucinda area. The board, a five-member panel, usually meets once each month and is not paid.

The need arose for the volunteers after the resignation of Ben Ochs earlier this year and the resignation of Pat Lauer on Monday.

Board members are appointed by the Knox Township board of supervisors and serve five-year, staggered terms.

Any Knox Township resident interested in serving should contact the township office at (814) 226-4696 or board chairman Tim Huebert at (814) 229-0504.
