Keystone students help set new Guinness World Record

Students in Keystone Elementary physical education classes helped set a new Guinness World Record titled, “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day” on Thursday, Nov. 8. These students were up for the challenge and are holding a banner signifying this event. The new record totaled 624,390 stackers, breaking the old mark of 622,809. Schools worldwide could participate and were asked to commit to at least 25 stackers for at least 30 minutes on that day. Sport Stacking is a sport in which students “up stack” and “down stack” 12 specifically designed cups, called “Speed Stacks” in predetermined sequences as fast as they can. Benefits include improved reaction time, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and focus. The World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) is the official governing body of the event.
