Keystone named Fan Favorite in Paint the Plow contest

From staff reports

Keystone High School won the Fan Favorite award for PennDOT’s District 10 in the annual Paint the Plow contest sponsored by PennDOT.

The winner was determined by online voting, and the Keystone plow depicts a variety of seasonal characters safely buckled in their vehicle to convey this year’s theme of “seat belts are always in season.”

Members of the public were invited to vote for their favorite plow from 11 high schools that entered the contest.

Redbank and Union high schools in Clarion County also entered the contest, and blades painted by the students from all 11 schools will be used to maintain state-owned roadways in District 10 the rest of the winter.

This week is Winter Driving Awareness Week, and PennDOT is reminding motorists to practice safe habits behind the wheel, and especially during inclement weather.
