Kahle’s Kitchens gears up for ‘Old Iron’ Days

From staff reports

Tractor enthusiasts and owners are invited to the tractor ride at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 and “Old Iron Show” at noon Sunday, Aug. 12, both at Kahle’s Kitchens in Leeper.

Those attending can chose to participate in the 17-mile or 9-mile “slow” ride beginning at the upper parking lot of Kahle’s Kitchens and can stay for a picnic dinner after the ride.

Bring tractors, engines, lawn tractors or antique trucks or cars to vie for people’s choice trophies and kid’s choice trophies and receive show plaques.

Other activities during Sunday’s show include train rides, a chicken barbeque at the Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Department, (just a half mile from Kahle’s) and music by “Route 8 Band.”

There is no registration fee to participate. They do request anyone planning to attend the tractor ride and picnic to RSVP by calling (814) 744-9390 for food amount planning.

Kahle’s Kitchens is located at 7422 State Route 36, between Leeper and Tylersburg.
