Clarion state police confirmed a missing new Bethlehem man was found dead in the Allegheny River in Armstrong County on Thursday morning.
Trooper Vaughn Norbert identified the man as 40-year-old Shawn Hilliard, who had been missing for several months.
Hilliard was found dead in the river near Tarrtown Road in Washington Township at about 9:30 a.m., according to a news release from Kittanning state police.
The investigation is ongoing, Norbert said.
