RIDGWAY (AP) — Emergency dispatchers say crews were continuing to mop up after fire damaged a small hotel and bar in west-central Pennsylvania.
Elk County 911 dispatchers say the fire at the Highland Hotel in Ridgway was reported just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. Crews say the hotel’s guests escaped without injury, though one was briefly stranded on the roof of the burning building.
Dispatchers say some crews were still on the scene more than seven hours later.
A state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
