Clarion

An Easter party for children ages 1 to 12 will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Clarion Moose, 401 Grand Ave., Clarion. There will be an egg hunt, crafts and the Easter Bunny. It is free and open to the public. People may call (814) 226-7211 with any questions.

Emlenton

The Emlenton Echoes 4-H Club will partner with the Emlenton Civic Club for the annual Emlenton area Easter egg hunt. The event is for children ages 2 to 12 years old and will take place Saturday, March 31, at Hughes Park in Emlenton. Registration will start at 11:45 a.m. and the egg hunt will begin at noon. There will be various prizes given away. The grand prize will be a girl and a boy bike. The groups are also collecting pet supplies for a community service project. Items may be taken to the event.

Fertigs

A community Easter egg hunt will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Fertigs Community Center. Various activities for kids to participate in. Attending children will be served a light lunch for free. Adults may pay $2 for lunch.

Franklin

The Franklin Easter egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday  in Fountain Park. Children ages 8 years old and under may gather eggs filled with toys, candy, gift certificates and money. There will also be four special prize eggs for each of four age divisions. The rain date is Saturday, March 31. The event is sponsored by the Franklin Kiwanis Club and City of Franklin. The Retail Roaming Rabbits will be passing out eggs with special gifts for “big kids.” More information is available by calling 437-1619 or visiting www.franklinpa.gov.

An Easter egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Congress Hill Church of God in Franklin. The hunt is open to community children ages 1 year old through those in fourth grade.

Kennerdell

A community Easter egg hunt will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Sinner’s Sanctuary Church, 625 Burns Road, Kennerdell. This is the second year for the event which features more than 6,000 eggs and giveaways of bikes, baskets and more. More information is available by calling (724) 813-8959 or (814) 388-0064.

Oil City

An Easter egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Justus Park, Oil City. Registration starts at 12:40 p.m. with the hunt beginning at 1 p.m. In addition to 10,000 eggs there will be six bicycles given away — one girls and one boys bike in each age group. The age groups are 3 to 4, 5 to 8 and 9 to 12. The event is sponsored by First Church of God in Oil City.

Salem

The annual egg hunt for the children of the Salem community will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Community Complex. The event will start promptly at 10 a.m. The DeHart, Rossman, Wenner Post No. 997 of the American Legion and its auxiliary will supply prizes for the top three pickers in each of the hiding areas. The areas are divided by ages. Children who are walking to those attending kindergarten will hunt in one area and first through sixth grade students will hunt in the other area. Parents and grandparents may observe the hunt and take photos, but should let the children participate in the hunting. Members from Venango’s Edge 4-H club will be in attendance to make sure every child finds eggs.
