The following Halloween parades, trick-or-treat times, and other Halloween activities have been announced by various boroughs, townships and organizations in Clarion County:
Clarion Borough Parade: 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31, lineup in front of McDonalds on Main Street. Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Farmington Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Knox Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Knox Township: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
New Bethlehem Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Paint Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Rimersburg Borough Parade: 6 p.m. Oct. 26, lineup in Heeter Lumber parking lot, parade begins at 6:30 p.m. with judging at fire hall.
Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Salem Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31. Community party: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 28, at Salem community building, Lamartine.
Shippenville Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Sligo Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Strattanville Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31. Fire hall will have safety checks and handing out treats.
Washington Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 31.
Halloween event
Tri-County Animal Rescue will hold its annual Halloween event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Tractor Supply in Clarion. Photos of pets and children will be offered for $5 per disc of photos.
There will also be raffles and a bake sale. All proceeds benefit TCAR.
TCAR is a no-kill rescue for dogs and cats in Clarion and surrounding counties.
Halloween parade
The 2017 Clarion Mall Halloween parade will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 28 in the lobby of the Clarion Mall.
Registration for the event is from 11 a.m. to noon. Children will be judged in four costume categories, scariest, prettiest, cutest and most original. Prizes will be awarded and treats will be distributed.
