Forest sheriff’s office plans Shop with a Cop

The Forest County Sheriff’s Department will conduct its sixth annual Shop with a Cop program.

The program joins underprivileged children with local law enforcement personnel who provide the children with money to shop for Christmas presents, like clothing and toys, for themselves.

The children will be picked up at a designated location and taken to Walmart to shop with a $100 allowance.

The group will meet for dinner before returning.

The program is a nonprofit charity sponsored by the sheriff’s department.

Anyone interested in donating to Shop with a Cop can send a check or money order payable to the Forest County Sheriff’s Department at 526 Elm St., Box 9, Tionesta, 16353.
